I originally intended to go into sound.  I had grand plans of running the sound for my high school theater.  But, when I came into Tech Theater class, I was informed there already was a sound guy and that we didn't really need another one.  The teacher gave me a theater book that had a chapter on lighting design and told me to go make a design for the fall show based on what the book said.  Turns out I loved it, and I've been doing it ever since. 

Nowadays I'm a Senior Lighting Consultant with Salas O'Brien while also getting to design local theatrical productions.
